How to Fish Island Order: Every Main Quest and Handoff

Match the named destination with its radar color, then use the quest steps below.

1. Lighthouse: Empty Beer Can to Boat Keys

The Keeper sits beside the lighthouse; Beer hangs on its door.

1. Buy Beer, give it to the Keeper and collect his Empty Beer Can.
2. Select the can on your rod and fish for Spider Crab.
3. Defeat the crab and return its separate Shell to the Keeper.
4. Collect Boat Keys with E; buy Radar beside him. Use Drive E at the wooden helm.

2. Forest: three Leeches to Giant Piranha

Find the red-shirted quest giver seated on a rock near the Forest shack and water.

1. Pick up three ground Leeches and hand them to this NPC.
2. At 3/3, collect Leech Bait. On PC the offered-bait prompt is E.
3. Use it to hook Giant Piranha, then defeat the boss.
4. Bring the Piranha Skeleton to the same NPC for the third-island coordinates.

3. Desert: endangered catch to Carrot

Find the Tourist in yellow floaties on Desert beach.

1. Catch an endangered creature; inspect it with F before selling. Bowlfish is one example.
2. Trade the eligible catch for Carrot, then use it to fish for Pufferfish.
3. Defeat Pufferfish and return its Fin to the Tourist for the fourth-island coordinates.

4. Rocks: complete this stop

The Rocks quest giver hides inside the shop.

1. Buy Professional Boss Lure and use it to hook Tuna.
2. Defeat Tuna. Put its whole body on the central grass to attract Albatross.
3. Defeat Albatross; bring its head to the man in the shop for the fifth-island location.

5. Volcano: five local fish to the final whale

Find the yellow-suited Scientist beside the military tents on Volcano.

1. Catch five fish at Volcano and hand them to the Scientist. At 5/5, collect Fish Bucket with E.
2. Use Fish Bucket to catch and defeat Bowhead Whale. Keep its whole corpse.
3. Find the wooden plank near the military camp. Carry the corpse up that path and throw it into the crater to summon Mutated Bowhead Whale.
4. Defeat the mutated whale and return Whale Fin to the Scientist. Collect his black-boat keys.
5. Use the black boat’s Mainland travel prompt to finish.
